Job Information

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our team in Norwich. You will be employed on a full time, permanent basis and will be rewarded with a salary of £19,000 – £21,000 per annum dependent on experience.

As our Accounts Assistant you will report directly to the Financial Controller and will play an important part in ensuring the accurate and timely production of the Company’s Financial Accounts through the maintenance of an accurate Purchase and Sales Ledger.

The successful Accounts Assistant will need to work closely with the rest of the Finance Department to ensure consistency and best practice is developed and maintained across the function.

Responsibilities of our Accounts Assistant:

– Accurate processing of supplier invoices to the Purchase Ledger, ensuring only authorised goods or services are recorded

– Posting of Supplier payments to the Purchase Ledger

– Recording of Sale invoices in Invoice discount system

– Preparation of supplier reconciliations

– Preparation of supplier payments in the online banking system

– Completion of Intrastat records for submission of VAT return

– File invoices and statements

– Deal with purchase ledger enquiries

– Process staff expenses

– Processing of Sales invoices to the Sales Ledger

– Posting of Sales receipts in Sales Ledger

– Recording of Sale invoices in Invoice discount system

 

The right candidate will need to have experience with processing invoices, have a good understanding of online banking and will ideally have worked in a manufacturing business.

Hours of work: 36 hours per week – Monday to Thursday: 8.30am – 4.30pm, Friday: 8.30 am – 4.15pm (subject to change according to the needs of the company.)
