Job Summary

Here at Pasta Foods, we are looking for an individual to join our successful, dynamic and proactive sales team with ambitious growth targets and a passion for best in class customer service.

You will be the our contact for customers and your responsibility will be to take, process and resolve all orders for pasta, snacks and semolina. We are really proud of our outstanding service and we target ourselves on a 98.5% service level on all orders.

This is a varied role which includes the following;

Customer Service

  • Taking customers orders, acknowledging them and confirming receipt
  • Develop strong relationships with our customer contacts to include stock control/buyers/warehousing teams
  • Investigate customer queries relating to order processing or delivery/availability issues.

Distribution

  • Book transport jobs in with our customers
  • Liaise with our Warehouses to ensure they are aware of the loading requirements.
  • Ensure all jobs are booked with our Transport providers – including all Exports
  • Distribute the daily load plan to the business to ensure everyone involved in the distribution functions has visibility
  • Raise relevant export paperwork and manage our external Freight Forwarder to ensure all export paperwork is being processed within a timely manner.

Relationship Building

  • Liaise with planning and warehousing teams to confirm stock availability/required by date
  • Support the Pasta and Snacks Accounts Managers in the day to day customer management and associated administration

Administration

  • Answer the telephone enquiries line, take messages or transfer calls when appropriate to do so.
  • Distribute on email daily figures for Snacks/Pasta and Semolina Sales using Qlik sense
  • Monitor customer ordering frequency and proactively chase Buying Teams if orders have not been placed.
  • Monitor and input price changes. Proactively chase Account Managers to review prices if they are about to expire.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

You will be highly organised and have strong relationships with customers and internally throughout the business to ensure that our service is first class. You will have experience within the logistics or service delivery industry ideally from a food background.

Essential qualities for this role include strong organisation skills, excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, “can do” attitude and the ability to work with accuracy and pace.
