An unusual opportunity has arisen here for someone to join the Engineering Department as a Process Engineer.  This position is based in our Great Yarmouth site but it may be necessary to carry out work in our Norwich site from time to time.


The duties and responsibilities of the role are;

  • PPM and breakdown repair on high volume and high-speed plant
  • Developing and maintaining suitable plant processes including monitoring of equipment conditions
  • Ensuring optimal performance and efficiency is maintained at all times dealing with any technical issues and problems that arise
  • Providing process engineering leadership on projects, maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Actively promote and share best practice across the organisation through development of processes all company sites
  • Ensure all process documentation in relation to plant and equipment operation is complete
  • Working with machinery such as driers, coolers, press, extruders and Siemens PLC
  • Providing advanced electrical knowledge support to the Engineering Department


We are looking for someone who has been working as a Multi Skilled or Process Engineer in either FMCG or food production.  The right candidiate will hold a formal qualification in an engineering discipline.   Candidates should possess electrical fault finding skills alongside an understanding of PLCs and automated processess.  Experience working with Siemens would be an advantage but is not essential.


Our hours of work are 36 per week from Monday – Friday but this can be a demanding role and that can mean that you do not always leave on time!  You will also be required to be available for call outs when necessary (paid as overtime).  The right person for us will be flexible with their hours and able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
